Chelsea reach €73m transfer agreement, player has already agreed terms with the blues

Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with AS Roma for the transfer of goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Alisson has been linked with a host of top clubs this summer, from Liverpool to Real Madrid. However, it looks as though it’s Chelsea who will win the race to sign him.

According to Centro Suono Sport, Chelsea have offered €65M plus €8M in bonuses, which meets AS Roma’s €73M valuation of the Brazilian.

The 25-year-old is thought to have already agreed personal terms with Chelsea ahead of the proposed switch to Stamford Bridge.

Announcement of the deal is not expected to come until after the World Cup. Alisson has a quarter-final clash with Belgium to look forward to.

On the opposite side of the field to Alisson will be Thibaut Courtois, who may well be his predecessor between the sticks in SW6.

Courtois has been long-term linked with a move to Real Madrid. If Alisson does arrive, it will likely accelerate the former Atletico keeper’s return to the Spanish capital.
