Chelsea Ready To Sign This Striker In January. Good Move Or Bad Move?

Chelsea are in a strong position to sign Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson when the transfer window opens in January, according to Daily Express.

Wilson has scored eight goals and provided five assists this season for Bournemouth.

According to the report, Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri wants the 26-year-old striker to bolster his attacking department with Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata underperforming as he seeks to make good on Chelsea’s early season form.

Chelsea are reportedly confident Bournemouth will accept a bid of £30million for the England international, who scored against the USA on his senior Three Lions debut in November, when the transfer window opens in January.

However, Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is determined to keep hold of the striker amid speculation over his future.

“Callum is focusing on his football and we are not anticipating losing any players in January we don’t want to,” Howe said.

“He seems very happy, he has a spring in his step, he is buzzing around the training ground and there is a very good feel about him.”

Wilson joined Bournemouth from Coventry in July 2014 for a fee of £3million and has scored 52 goals in all competitions for the Cherries.
