Former Blues star Oscar has talked about the special Chelsea shirt he wore when he scored his hat-trick for the club. Oscar saw some success during a four-and-a-half year stint at Chelsea since joining from Brazilian club Internacional in 2012.
He won the Europa League title in his first season at Chelsea under Roberto di Matteo and Rafael Benitez, and the Premier League title in 2014/15 under Jose Mourinho.
After more than 200 appearances at Chelsea in all competitions, Oscar joined Chinese side Shanghai SIPG for a record-breaking fee of £60million in December 2016.
It was a rather shocking move for such a young talented footballer. Now at 28 years of age, Oscar still plays for Shanghai SIPG in the Chinese Super League. In a video he posted on his Twitter account, Oscar spoke about his special Chelsea shirt.
It was the shirt he wore when he scored his hat-trick in the 5-1 win against MK Dons in the FA Cup fourth round in 2016.
He said: “This is a very special shirt. I think Sao Paulo and Internacional opened doors in Brazil for me, but Chelsea opened them worldwide. “I’ve conquered important titles there. The Premier League, the Europa League.
“And especially this shirt. I wore it when I scored a hat-trick for Chelsea and it was very special because it was my first hat-trick in Europe for Chelsea. I also got to take the ball home.” Oscar showed some autographs from his former Chelsea teammates on the shirt. Among them were from Willian, Diego Costa, Ramires, Branislav Ivanovic.
He finished the video saying: “I kept the ball (from the game) here but I don’t know where it is.”
