Chelsea star suffers fresh injury on international duty, as Real Madrid beats Chelsea to sign £85m World class player
According to latest reports, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté has departed the French national team camp owing to a knee injury, the French national team confirmed this afternoon.
Kante will now miss Les Bleus’ final Nations League match of the month, which takes place on Monday against Croatia.
During the international break, Kante has only played in one game for France, starting in the 2-1 loss to Denmark at the Stade de France before missing the draws against Croatia and Austria.
Kante has had an injury-plagued season, having previously suffered a three-week layoff due to a knee ailment, as well as a groin issue before the start of the season and two different bouts with Covid-19.
Last season, the 31-year-old made 42 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
Real Madrid beats Chelsea to sign Aurelien Tchouameni
Chelsea has been linked with a move for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, who is 22 years old.
Tchouameni has officially been confirmed by Real Madrid in a reputed £85 million transaction.
Real have confirmed that the France international has signed a six-year contract with the club at the Santiago Bernabeu.
On Tuesday, the youthful midfielder will be officially introduced as a Real Madrid player.
