Chelsea target Wilfried Zaha set to leave Club for Chelsea

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has conceded that the club may have no choice but to allow Wilfried Zaha to depart, report the Daily Mail.

The Sun ran an exclusive earlier in the month claiming that Chelsea were working on the idea of signing Zaha from Palace when the January transfer window comes around.

If that is the case, and Chelsea have a genuine interest in signing the winger, Marina Granovskaia ought to be seriously encouraged by these comments from Steve Parish.

The Palace chairman is quoted by the Daily Mail saying that they will allow Zaha to depart if they receive an offer matching their valuation of the 26-year-old:

“We’re lucky to have him. But if that top club comes along and the money’s right, he’s an extraordinary talent and it’s going to be very difficult for us.”

Chelsea do have options out wide in Christian Pulisic and Callum Hudson-Odoi, but with Pedro and Willian ageing, Zaha could soon be required.

The decision could come down to whether Frank Lampard is fond of the Palace talisman.

If he is, we ought to try and get this deal done as soon as possible.
