Chelsea team news to face Leicester City confirm, as Brilliant midfielder opens up he could leave Milan for Chelsea ON FREE this summer
The Blues will be looking to halt a run of two successive defeats when they lock horns with Leicester City for the second time in the space of just four days at Stamford Bridge in a crucial Premier League encounter this evening, kick-off 8:15pm.
The Blues, who have failed to win any of their last three home clashes with the Foxes, were beaten 1-0 by Brendan Rodgers’ side in Saturday’s FA Cup final at Wembley, with Youri Tielemans’ second half stunner sealing a historic win for the Midlands club.
Defeat to Leicester marked a second straight defeat for Chelsea, as they were beaten 1-0 by Arsenal last Wednesday evening, which, of course, robbed them of the opportunity to move back above the Foxes in the Premier League table and into third.
Nevertheless, the Blues know that their fate remains in their own hands, as two wins from their remaining two matches would see them clinch third place. However, head coach Thomas Tuchel has urged his players to remain “focused” and enter tonight’s game “like any other.”
Speaking at his pre-match press conference:
Tuchel has hinted that Andreas Christensen and Mateo Kovacic, who were not quite fit enough to make the squad at the weekend, could make returns.
“When Kova [Mateo Kovacic] and Andreas Christensen, maybe, come back into the squad, I need to figure out the squad and maybe eliminate two more players,” said Tuchel.
“This is the worst day and the worst decision for me in the whole week because since I arrived here everybody deserves to be in the squad.”
Elsewhere, the likes of Edouard Mendy, Ben Chilwell, Christian Pulisic and Kai Havertz will be pushing for recalls.
Full Chelsea squad available to face Leicester:
Goalkeepers: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willy Caballero & Edouard Mendy.
Defenders: Reece James, Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen, Thiago Silva, Kurt Zouma, Valentino Livramento, Ben Chilwell, Marcos Alonso & Emerson.
Midfielders: Callum Hudson-Odoi, Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Billy Gilmour, Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Faustino Anjorin & Jorginho.
Strikers: Tammy Abraham, Timo Werner & Olivier Giroud.

Hakan Calhanoglu is heading towards free agency, with Chelsea said to be among his many suitors, and he has given an update on is current situation.
AC Milan remain in the hunt for Champions League qualification, which could go a long way towards determining whether key men agree to stay put, and Calhanoglu is a player that has been linked with a move to the Premier Legaue.
Chelsea have one of the very best squads in the Premier League and have quality all over the pitch, but Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to add to his squad this summer in order to win that Premier League title off Manchester City.
But amid all the speculation, Calhanoglu insists European competition will have no impact on his decision, and says no definitive call on his next move will be made until the 2020-21 campaign comes to a close.
Asked about his plans by Sky Sport Italia, with Milan hanging onto fourth place in Serie A, Calhanoglu has said: “I am very happy that we reached this point. We’re fired up and want to book our spot in the Champions League.
“I always said that I wanted to get into the Champions League with Milan.
“However, my future does not depend on the Champions League. I am very happy to be here playing for Milan.
“At the end of the season, I will sit down with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to discuss my future. They are the ones in charge and I respect them.”
It will be interesting to see just where the player ends up if he does actually decide to leave the Italian giants guys.
