Chelsea face Middlesbrough at Stamford Bridge in just under an hour, and the teams are in!
The squad have had 10 days off and should all be fresh. Mauricio Pochettino has had a chance to work with them and knows what he needs to do tonight – score at least two goals, impress the home fans and make it to the final.
To that end, he’s picked the following team, with two changes from our 1-0 win over Fulham. The injured Malo Gusto drops out, with Levi Colwill sliding into the middle and Axel Disasi to right back. Ben Chilwell gets a start and captains the team.
Conor Gallagher is on the bench, with Raheem Sterling and Mykhailo Mudryk flanking Armando Broja. Cole Palmer plays deeper, alongside Enzo and Moises Caicedo.
It’s a risky, attacking lineup. We like the idea, but sometimes with no Gallagher we just lack intensity, no matter how many attackers we have on the pitch.
