Chelsea willing to pay €80million for Robert Sanchez replacement in summer
According to a report on The Hard Tackle, Chelsea are open to selling 26 year old goalkeeper Robert Sanchez this summer.
Chelsea will reportedly use funds from the sale of Sanchez to fund a move for 24 year old FC Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa. The report adds that Chelsea don’t believe Sanchez can be our number-one in goal for years to come.
Costa is a product of the FC Porto academy and has featured in a total of 137 matches for the Portuguese club, keeping a clean sheet on 57 occasions.
His standout displays for FC Porto have secured him a spot in the Portugal national team. The 24 year old goalkeeper featured for Portugal at the 2022 World Cup and has quickly become an essential player.
Despite his contract expiring in the summer of 2027, Costa is reportedly attracting interest from Chelsea ahead of the summer transfer window.
Chelsea are reportedly willing to pay €80million to sign Costa from FC Porto in the summer.
