Chelsea’s new signing compared with Cristiano Ronaldo

IFK Göteborg yesterday confirmed that 16-year old winger Edwin Andersson, is now completing his move to Chelsea after it being agreed last year.

Andersson is a 16-year old Swedish under-17 international and he was spotted by Chelsea at a young age. He will obviously come in to play for the Blues under-18s and will hope to move up from there.

WAGNH have this morning ran a story reporting words spoken about Andersson by his Father last year, who has given some insight in to what sort of player Chelsea fans can expect to see. And it’s good news if you enjoy watching flair and direct players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Chelsea’s own Callum Hudson-Odoi. Players with pace and ability to beat players.

His Father Mikael Andersson confirmed that he chose to join Chelsea over a number of other clubs from around the world, and that now was the right time for him to make the move.

He said:

“There have been an incredible number of clubs from virtually all countries that have been interested in him. But he has chosen to go to Chelsea when it’s time. ”It is the dream of every boy to have such an opportunity, that is where we are now.

“He’s pretty much like Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea. When he was younger, he was a little more like [Cristiano] Ronaldo. He mainly stays on the left.”
