Confirmed Chelsea lineup to face Everton – Giroud starts again

Chelsea face Everton at Goodison Parkin just under an hour, and the teams are in!

We’ve got a very clear idea who Frank Lampard’s first XI are now, and he’s only had to deviate slightly from his preferred arrangement here.

Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi were confirmed out before this game, and it seems Christian Pulisic has joined them as he is not on the bench.

That means either Kai Havertz or Mason Mount will be working down the right wing for the Blues, unless there’s a new formation in store with a midfield diamond and Olivier Giroud and Timo Werner as a front pair.

Given the success of the 433 in recent months, we think the out of position use of a midfielder on the right side is more likely, and mirrors what Lampard was forced to do in the early weeks of the season.
