Courtois sends Hazard transfer message to Chelsea, as Blues set to meet £154m asking price for world-class player

Thibaut Courtois says he is ‘100 per cent sure’ that Eden Hazard will stay at Real Madrid and won’t re-join Chelsea this summer.

Hazard has struggled to make an impact since he left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2019 and reports in Spain claim the Belgian wants to return to Chelsea.

“I’m 100% sure he’s staying,” Courtois told Le Soir.

“He doesn’t want to move. Only the Madrid press writes about the desire to leave.

“He wants to continue, play free of injuries and win titles.

“At Real Madrid there is criticism all the time and for everyone. Gareth Bale was criticized, but he won the Champions League and scored a double in the final in Kyiv.

“We all know that in Madrid there is pressure and criticism from the press and the fans. But Eden can handle that.

“I know him well enough to say it. He can still change everything.

“He still wants to be an important player for Madrid and win titles.”

Blues set to meet £154m asking price for world-class player

According to latest reports, Chelsea have reportedly held talks with Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund over the possibility of signing Erling Haaland.

However, according to transfer expert Kristof Terreur, claims that the Blues are prepared to meet Dortmund’s £154m valuation of their star striker.

Haaland scored a staggering 41 goals in as many games for BVB this season. He was also the Champions League top scorer with 10 goals.

The European Champions are now focused on signing the Norwegian with Spurs chief Daniel Levy playing hardball over Harry Kane.

Chelsea may well need a new striker this summer with Olivier Giroud still open to leaving despite a contract extension and Tammy Abraham uncertain about his Chelsea future.
