As we are all well aware by now, everything is entirely up in the air as the world struggles to battle a global pandemic.
Football has rightly taken a backseat as the world practices social distancing and isolating in the bid to defeat COVID-19.
However, football could soon be returning to our television screens at least, according to a report from The Daily Mirror.
They claim that the English Football League are planning to return to action on June 6 in order to complete the 2019/20 season.
This move is to help save a number of the lower league clubs that are now struggling financially due to the pause in football.
Top flight football could also return on the same weekend, as per the same report, meaning Chelsea could play their next match in just over 7 weeks time, albeit behind closed doors.
It will certainly be weird watching these games without fans on TV, but it seems that so many clubs desperately need the TV revenue to survive.
