David Alaba finally speaks out on how making Chelsea move is affecting him
David Alaba’s form has been questioned of late, as the 28-year-old has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
The Austrian international has been linked with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool, as he’s set to be a free agent at the end of the campaign.
Bayern has not been as solid defensively as a whole this season, with their recent game ending in a 3-2 defeat, despite having taken a 2-0 lead.
Bayern will eventually lose 3-2 away at Borussia Mönchengladbach, with Hansi Flick’s side having now conceded 24 goals in their 15 Bundesliga games this season – the worst record among the top six teams in the table.
However, Alaba has defended his form and has said that the transfer rumours aren’t affecting him.
“No, absolutely not,” Alaba told Bild when asked whether his dip in form was due to his situation at Bayern.
“Personally, I don’t think things are going so badly for me this season and I haven’t changed my style of play compared to last year.
“I’ve said it many times: For me, the only thing that counts is another successful season with Bayern. We are still leading the table and I am sure that we will win the next games and, in the end, we will be top.”
