David Luiz was dribbled past twice in Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool

They cruised to a 3-1 win at Anfield thanks to Mohamed Salah’s brace and Joel Matip’s opener.

Liverpool were class in the second half but they were helped by David Luiz’s abject display.

The Brazilian, who arrived in the summer from Chelsea, conceded the penalty that Salah scored from when be pulled the Egyptian’s shirt.

And he was then sent spinning by the Liverpool forward as he made it 3-0 in the 58th minute.

For all the Liverpool fans feeling aggrieved about the fans tweeting about Van Dijk – you’ll enjoy this.

Luiz was dribbled past twice against Liverpool, once in the 24th minute and again before Salah’s second, in the 57th minute. That’s a difference of 33 minutes.

So Van Dijk has been dribbled past once in 50 matches. Luiz was dribbled past twice in 90 minutes.

Then he did what supporters of his team always fear he will.

“One moment of unnecessary foolishness, a grab of Mohamed Salah’s jersey, cost Arsenal dearly indeed and for a player of his experience was simply unacceptable.”

With Luiz, Arsenal are going to have to learn to take the good with the bad.
