Deal Agreed: Chelsea secure first deal under Thomas Tuchel
The Premier League giants hope to have secured their first signing of the Thomas Tuchel era with a Brazilian star due to arrive at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel is apparently close to securing his first signing as Chelsea boss with a deal being consented to sign Gabriel Menino from Palmeiras.
The 20-year-old is one of his country’s most energizing midfield talents and is supposed to be close to National call-up. Favored with a terrific engine, he has drawn comparisons to Yaya Toure.
Presently Brazilian sports correspondent Paco Belmonte claims Chelsea have struck a deal to bring the youngster to Stamford Bridge. He will be the major first signing of the Thomas Tuchel era.
As indicated by The Sun, Chelsea will pay Palmeiras an underlying £13m, with add-ons taking the deal to closer £20m.
Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also keen on signing the talented midfielder. But, Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia has jumped of them by introducing a deal that Palmeiras couldn’t afford to ignore.
The Blues plan to announce his signing in the coming days, with Menino officially signing from July 1.
It’s not clear weather Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel plans to quickly play the 20-year-old or send him on loan to acquire more experience.
His signing will build hypothesis that one of Matteo Kovacic or Jorginho will be leaving this summer.
