DEAL ON: Chelsea to offer two Chelsea stars plus £77m to sign ‘World class’ attacker

Chelsea is rumored to be targeting a single elite player, so they may kick off the summer transfer season with a bang.

Chelsea’s season has not gone well, so it would not be shocking to see them enter the market when it opens.

The team led by Mauricio Pochettino is presently eighth in the standings, but a victory over West Ham United today might put them in seventh.

Chelsea would be eligible for European football the following season if they could finish there.

Securing a spot in the 2024–25 Europa Conference League was not, however, their goal heading into this campaign.

Chelsea make contact to sign key target
While Chelsea will want to improve their squad after such a disastrous season, they have to be wary of the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules.

It is something that the club seem to be taking into consideration in their move for Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, who has been hailed as a “world-class striker” by AS Monaco’s Folarin Balogun.

According to gianlucadimarzio.com, Chelsea have had initial contact with Napoli about signing Osimhen this summer.

The report claims that the Blues are trying to see if an offer of up to €90m (£77m) plus Romelu Lukaku and one young player is enough to make something happen.

The 25-year-old is thought to have a release clause between €120m (£103m) and €130m (£111.6m) in his contract, which Chelsea seem reluctant to pay, likely because of the above.

Who else could Chelsea offer to Napoli?
On top of Lukaku, who is one of Chelsea’s most expensive ever signings, the club could also offer Armando Broja to Napoli. The 22-year-old is a logical player to consider.

Broja is, of course, a striker. He would help fill the void left by Osimhen’s potential departure alongside Lukaku, so he is one Chelsea youngster who may appeal to Napoli.

The Albania international does not really look to have a long-term future at Stamford Bridge either, with the Blues allowing him to join Fulham on loan despite lacking options up front.
