Reports have claimed Ajax stopper Victor Onana is keen to make the move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
There has been a lot of speculation in the media over the past few months which has suggested that Frank Lampard is keen to offload Spanish stopper Kepa in the summer after becoming frustrated at the young mans performances on a weekly basis.
And that has led to speculation in the media suggesting that Lampard is keen to add a new stopper to the side, with Ajax ace Onana on the shopping list of the Chelsea boss after establishing himself as one of the best stoppers in Europe.
Onana helped Ajax reach the Champions League semi-finals last season and also helped the Dutch side regain their title after a few years of trying, and his performances caught the attentions of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United over the last couple of transfer windows, but it seemed that he had no desire to leave.
But amid big speculation that the Chelsea are prepared to meet his £50 million asking price, GOAL, have claimed that Onana is willing to make the move to Chelsea in the summer, even if the club do not let the Spaniard leave at the end of the season.
Look, we have said on many occasions that kepa is a young stopper that does have all the qualities to turn into a world class stopper over the next few seasons if given the chance to improve under Lampard.
But if Lampard is desperate to add a stopper to the side in the summer, then Onana could be a great choice, he is proven at the top level and has the ability to be a real star in the Premier League, but Chelsea will have a battle trying to secure a deal.
As we said, there is a lot of interest in Onana and the Blues will need Champions League football to win the chase.
