Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has stalled on signing a new contract as the club and the 22-year-old are unable to reach an agreement.
Chelsea have already agreed new contracts this season for Hudson-Odoi, Mason Mount, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Fikayo Tomori, Billy Gilmour and Jamie Cumming, as Frank Lampard is keen to keep the club’s quality youngsters, but the Blues aren’t close to sealing a deal for Abraham.
Abraham has been a key player for Chelsea this season, and one of the young striker’s demand is to be on parity with Callum Hudson-Odoi who got a bumper deal last year.
Abraham’s representatives have asked for parity with the £180,000-a-week that team-mate Hudson-Odoi currently earns.
Abraham has played a bigger role for Chelsea than Hudson-Odoi, and he believes he should earn around that figure as well.
Talks with 22-year-old Abraham have dragged on for several months without any resolution and Chelsea aren’t keen to give in to his demands.
Do you think Abraham deserves such a huge salary at the club?
