Done deal? Chelsea forward agrees move to join La Liga club

Eden Hazard has agreed to join Real Madrid. That’s the belief of the Chelsea dressing room, as claimed by Ian McGarry.

Hazard was unhappy with the Blues last season when Antonio Conte led them to finishing the season outside top four. The Belgian had threatened leave the club and he was heavily linked with the move to Madrid.

Madrid have been interested in Hazard since the days of Zinedine Zidane as the manager of the club.

The Champions League holders sold Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in the summer and they are yet to replace the Portuguese goal machine, but Hazard has been as the ideal player for his position.

“Something that’s affecting Chelsea now is Eden Hazard,” McGarry said on the Sunday Supplement.

“There’s a feeling in the dressing room that he’s agreed a deal to go to Real Madrid and the reason he’s so calm about everything and not having contract negotiations with Chelsea is he has this option and he’s just waiting to exercise it.”

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed that he wants the Belgian to stay put at Stamford Bridge but he may not be able to hold on to the player for long if the right offer is made for him.

Hazard has been in blisterring form since the start of the season.
