“Don’t be like Cole Palmer”, “Don’t go to Chelsea” – Pep Guardiola warns Manchester City player not to be like Cole Palmer

It seems Pep Guardiola is still angry about losing Cole Palmer to Chelsea.

Palmer has done well at Chelsea, and is even the team’s best player, so far this season.

The 21-year-old also stunned his former club, as he scored the leveller in Chelsea’s 4-4 draw with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.

Pep Guardiola recently spoke highly of the long-term future of Man City starlet Oscar Bobb.

The Norway international scored his first Premier League goal over the weekend for City, scoring the winning goal as Manchester City came from behind to beat Newcastle.

Guardiola believes Bobb will be a top player at the Etihad, and has warned him not to be like Cole Palmer.

“We have another player for many years for us, if he decides to stay because maybe he decides… Now he’s happy for that minutes,” Guardiola explained.

“Cole Palmer was happy with that minutes, but after one to three years it’s, ‘I want more!’ And it’s natural, it’s completely understandable, and maybe I don’t give them that minutes, and they decide to go there!

“If he (Oscar Bobb) decides to stay, we have a player for many, many years!”
