Chelsea fans might be tired of constant rumours linking the club with various strikers, but at least one of the team leaders has good reasons to be enthused about the latest reports.
The Blues’ vice-captain Jorginho has liked a post by an Instagram user that depicted him with his ex-Napoli teammate Dries Mertens.
The Belgian forward is, of course, the latest man claimed to be a Chelsea target.
It does not necessarily mean a move is on the cards or, in fact, that Chelsea are trying to negotiate the move right now, although that is what top-tier transfer insider Gianluca Di Marzio reports.
It is only an indication that a senior Chelsea player might be very much in favour of a reunion with a striker who played alongside him throughout his four and a half seasons at Napoli.
Seems Jorginho will be man to force this move.
