€60m Chelsea target has ‘agreed five-year deal’ with Tuchel’s side – report
In recent days, there has been a lot of talk about one Chelsea target in particular.
For a long time, everything seemed to be going smoothly with this one, but as with many of these transfer transactions, things change and other clubs enter to try to ruin the party.
That appears to be what Barcelona has been attempting with Chelsea’s pursuit of Jules Kounde, a player they have been trying to sign for a year but were unable to agree on a deal last summer.
Several Catalan rumors said that Barcelona had made an offer for Kounde in the previous few days, but it looks that Chelsea is still in the running to get him.
Chelsea are still confident, according to a couple of UK media outlets.
But, as highlighted by Sport Witness, one of the more interesting reports from today came from local Sevilla media, ABC Sevilla.
They believe that Jules Koundé has ‘already agreed’ to a five-year contract with Chelsea, which includes a wage that is two or three times that of Barcelona. Chelsea must match Sevilla’s €60-65 million [£52m-£56m] valuation.
Chelsea remain confident of signing Jules Kounde despite late Barcelona interest.

Nothing is in the way of the Jules Kounde to Chelsea deal as long as the fee is agreed between clubs.
