Chelsea FC star Eden Hazard believes that Maurizio Sarri’s team still have plenty of room to improve after their strong start to the season.
Wins against Huddersfield, Arsenal, Newcastle and Bournemouth have seen Chelsea FC race to the top of the Premier League in the early stages of the 2018-19 campaign, helping them to emerge as dark horses for the title.
Sarri’s men have been impressive so far with their quick passing interchanges and well-organised set-up out of possession, which has seen them defy pre-season expectations by picking up maximum points.
However, according to talismanic winger Hazard, Chelsea still need to improve further with a lot of tough fixtures still on the horizon.
He told Metro Sport: “We can improve [on the Bournemouth game], of course. We didn’t concede a goal – that’s a good point.
“We scored two, maybe we should have scored more – like always. I think we can move the ball quicker – in the first we were a bit slower. We can improve. We have the confidence.
“We have the international break now. We can rest a bit some players. We have a lot of hard games when we get back.”
After the international break, Chelsea FC face another home game against Neil Warnock’s struggling Cardiff City side, which supporters will no doubt expect the team to win comfortably.
Chelsea FC cannot afford to take their foot off the gas and allow complacency to creep in given the strength of the teams around them at the top of the table, but they have certainly set down an early marker which suggests that they could maintain a genuine title challenge.
