The London-based outfit Chelsea are eyeing a swoop for La Liga giants Real Madrid’s attacking midfielder Isco in the January transfer market, as per the Express cited by Metro.
The Spaniard has been unable to cement his spot in the starting eleven in the ongoing season with the emergence of young Fede Valverde. The Blues have just seen their two-window transfer ban reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
And now, as per the latest report, they are looking to launch a move for Isco— who has been linked with Serie A club Juventus in the past—in the mid-season transfer market in order to bolster their squad for the rest of the term. The 27-year-old has been at Los Blancos since the summer of 2013 when he moved from fellow league side Malaga for a reported transfer sum of €30m.
Isco has represented the Real Madrid in 290 matches in all competitions where he has managed to net 48 goals along with providing 52 assists. It is understood that Real Madrid’s management will be willing to sell the 27-year-old star for a reported transfer fee of £44 million.
