FINALLY: Roman Abramovich ready to break transfer record to sign attacker

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is reportedly ready to spend big again to bring one of the best young attackers in Europe to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s current transfer record is the £72million spent on signing Kepa Arrizabalaga from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2018

According to reports, Chelsea are ready to break the club’s transfer record by signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho for £100 million.

According to Goal, Chelsea are confident of getting Sancho’s signature because of his relationship with Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sancho was also born in London.

Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are all interested in the 19 year old but the Blues lead the race for his signing because of Sancho’s relationship with Abraham and Hudson-Odoi. Sancho, who joined Dortmund from Manchester City in August 2017, is believed to be ready to return to England after becoming unsettled at the club.

The 19 year old was substituted just 36 minutes into Dortmund’s clash against big rivals Bayern Munich, which they went on to lose 4-0, with Dortmund manager Lucien Favre slamming the player as “not good enough”

Sancho was dropped from the starting line-up to face Barcelona in the Champions League after reporting late for a pre-game team meeting. He came off the bench and scored in the 3-1 defeat.
