Reports are emerging on Thursday afternoon that Chelsea academy graduate Faustino Anjorin has agreed a new deal to stay at Chelsea.
According to Goal reporter Nizaar Kinsella, the deal has been agreed but the 18-year is now just awaiting a date to come in and sign on – presumably due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This is great news for Frank Lampard and Chelsea fans, with Anjorin’s current deal set to expire in June next year.
The talks have been going on for quite a while and it was uncertain whether the highly rated attacking midfielder was going to sign an extended deal.
There is no doubt that Lampard including him in recent match day squads in the first team would have made a positive difference to his decision making on this.
Anjorin is full of potential and has a massive career ahead of him, and hopefully now Chelsea will be reaping the benefits of his talents for the foreseeable future at least.
Tino Anjorin has agreed a deal to stay at Chelsea. He is just awaiting a date to sign on. Another success story for Frank Lampard as another academy talents opts to remain after making his Premier League debut. More on @goal soon. #CFC
