“Forget Rice”- See the only player Chelsea might probably sign in January transfer window -opinion

During the summer transfer window, Chelsea bought many players which cost them almost £300 million. But despite the fact that they bought so many players with that huge amount of money, it seems Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich isn’t going to stop there as he plans to add more players to his squad in the January transfer window due to Chelsea’s unconvincing performance and inconsistency.

As usual, many players have been in the list of potential signing for Chelsea, top players such as England and West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice, Bayern Munich’s Defender David Alaba, Borussia Dortmund’s sensational young striker Erling Haaland and others.

Out of the three names I mentioned above, it seems it’s David Alaba that may likely sign for Chelsea in the January transfer window. Although Declan Rice have been on Lampard’s radar for a while now and it won’t be a surprise if Chelsea eventually signs him because he’s an Englishman but David Alaba would be more cheaper.

Dortmund’s Erling Haaland would be very difficult for Chelsea to obtain considering the fact that he is Dortmund’s most important player this season, so they won’t sell him anything less than €100 million and Chelsea might not want to pay that much for a single player currently.

In order to acquire some of these players in the January transfer window, Chelsea would have to sell some of their players to raise more capital. The players that may likely to be sold includes Marcos Alonso, Ross Barkley, Jorginho, Emerson and others.
