Forget Zidane and Allegri Chelsea fans as Maurizio Sarri has huge announcement

Chelsea have a massive hint that they are prepared to stick with Maurizio Sarri beyond the end of this season.

Sarri only arrived at Stamford Bridge during last summers transfer window as he was Roman Abramovic’s number one transfer target, but there has already been a lot of speculation that he is just a few results away from getting the sack and being replaced by Zinedine Zidane.

Zidane is just one of a number of possible managers that Chelsea have not employed over the seasons and with the Frenchman looking to test himself in the Premier League, it is believed that Abramovic would be keen to bring the former Real Madrid ace to the side.

However, Sarri has suggested he will remain at Stamford Bridge this summer by confirming he’s spoken to the club about their plans this summer.

‘I feel the same as before, but happier because the results are positive,’ Sarri told Sky Italia.

‘When everyone talked about my dismissal, I was talking with the club to plan the team for next season, so I was always relaxed.’

Chelsea face a huge transfer ban after the summer and that may be why the Blues are considering sticking with the Italian, as not many bosses will want to join knowing they cannot get deals done.

Should Chelsea stick with Sarri?

Sarri is a top manager and a very likeable guy, so he needs the time to adjust to the quality of the Premier League as not even Pep Guardiola won everything in his first season at Manchester City.

He has a few problems to fix in the summer and needs to make a few tactical decisions before this Chelsea team are challenging for the title again, but bringing in a new manager will not guarantee that Chelsea get back to the very top of the game.

Abramovic has sacked some world class managers in the past, but maybe keeping hold of this one may finally bring some stability to the club.
