Zidane gets Chelsea boost after big claim

France international Zinedine Zidane has been boosted by his countryman Robert Pires ahead of his alleged move to Chelsea in the coming summer.

The former Real Madrid boss has been tipped to take over at the West London outfit with Italian manager Maurizio Sarri reported being nearing the exit door of the team owing to a number of defeats he suffered in recent weeks.

Zinedine Zidane has a prosperous spell as Real Madrid boss where he won the Champions League on two consecutive years to establish himself as one of the best managers in the history of the game, not forgetting his feats as a player.

However, Robert Pires hailed Zinedine Zidane as a manager who will excel at the West London outfit, describing him as a warrior who can give a better fight with the level of competition in the English Premier League.

Robert Pires noted that what is happening at the Stamford Bridge remains a strange thing, owing to the fact that the former Napoli boss is a good manager but is unable to record any meaningful success at the club.

The former Arsenal player, therefore, stated that Zinedine Zidane will do well at the cub because he will command respect from the players because of his history.
