Frank Lampard ‘reacts’ to big VAR decisions in Manchester United loss

Chelsea have lost 2-0 to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Frank Lampard is clearly not satisfied with the way Anthony Taylor and the VAR crew officiated the game.

“Harry Maguire should have been sent off, that’s clear, and that obviously changes the game,” the boss told Sky Sports.

“Azpilicueta gets shoved so the goal should stand. Giroud was a toenail offside and that one I understand. That’s the rule now.

“I don’t get why they aren’t looking at the monitor. It should be used.”

In the first half, Harry Maguire kicked Michy Batshuayi in the groin. The defender wasn’t even booked after a VAR check.

The Englishman provided a strong performance and went on to score United’s second after the break.

In the second half, Kurt Zouma’s goal from a corner was disallowed as Cesar Azpilicueta fouled Brandon Williams in United’s box. However, it was clear from the replay that the Blues’ captain himself was pushed by Fred.
