Reports have claimed that Frank Lampard has sanctioned a massive £85 million Chelsea move for winger Leon Bailey.
The current Premier League may be under threat, the Coronavirus may be on the lips of every person in the world right now, but there are still things going in behind the scenes in football as clubs prepare for next season.
Frank Lampard is no fool, he knows that he needs to delve into that transfer kitty during the summer window and continue splashing the cash in order to get this Chelsea side playing for more than a top four spot and Champions league football, he needs to be challenging for titles guys.
And with all the speculation in the media suggesting a number of first team players could be leaving the club, it means that he will need to add some fresh meat to the attack when the transfer window opens up, and he has reportedly now set his sights on trying to secure a deal for Leon bailey.
Lampard was reportedly impressed by the players latest performances for the German side as the Jamaica international rounded off a brilliant evening for the German club by scoring his team’s third goal in a 3-1 win at Ibrox, although the return leg has been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, and Bayer Leverkusen are braced for offers for Bailey, who has made over 100 appearances for the club since signing from Genk in 2016, and would rather sell to a Premier League club than a direct rival in Bayern Munich.
AND ACCORDING TO THE DAILY EXPRESS, Lampard is now desperate to try and conclude a deal for bailey and has told the Chelsea hierarchy to make a massive £85 million move.
There is some big interest in the lad and Lampard knows that he may need to move fast at the beginning of the transfer window in order to win the race for Bailey.
