Chelsea were beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Saturday evening.

The Blues had only just leapfrogged Leicester City to third place before the disappointing game at Sheffield United.

With the defeat to Chelsea, pressure was on the Blues as it was no longer in Chelsea’s hands to make top four. However, it seems like the god of soccer was on Chelsea’s side and that of Frank Lampard.

First, Leicester City were beaten 4-1 by Bournemouth on Sunday evening and tonight, Manchester United could only get a point against Southampton.

United were leading the game 2-1 and were third on the table at the time, but a stoppage time goal from late sub Michael Obafemi broke the hearts of Olé Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

Chelsea remain third with 60 points, while Leicester City and Manchester United are a point behind, with City ahead on goal difference.

This victory comes after Manchester City won their appeal to have their ban on Europe reverted.

Now, Chelsea have their destiny in their own hands yet again. Well played Southampton.
