He has been back in full senior training now for a few weeks and played 60 minutes for the Development squad before the winter break.
He returned to training once again with the rest of the players on Monday, and looks comfortable and happy to have slotted back in after his long term achilles injury.
According to The Daily Mail, The 24-year old England international is set to play his second match with the Development squad on Monday against Arsenal.
This is great news, as he was always expected to play at least a few matches with the under-23s so Blues fans can really start to get excited about his return to the first team fold after these games.
His injury was very bad, a lot worse than Callum Hudson-Odoi’s. He has needed to rebuild the muscles in his legs, so patience here is an absolute must.
