Granovskaia back in London tomorrow, three things on agenda, shock signing pushed to Chelsea

Marina Granovskaia will arrive back in London on Monday, report Tuttosport, after spending a week in Russia, and she has several things on the agenda at Chelsea.

Firstly, there’s the Antonio Conte issue and getting the Italian to leave Stamford Bridge. Tuttosport report Chelsea will somewhat have to admit defeat on this one and agree to pay the manager around €20m given the favourable terms of his contract.

Then it’s on to Maurizio Sarri and Napoli, with the Serie A club still demanding compensation for their former manager, despite Carlo Ancelotti now being in the role.

It’s thought the amount will be around the €8m release clause which was in Sarri’s contract but had to be activated before the end of May.

After all that, Tuttosport pushed forward the signing of Gonzalo Higuain. The Argentine striker saying he’d like to play in the Premier League one day has truly caught the imagination in Italy, and Chelsea is seen as a fitting destination.

It’s believed he could reunited with Sarri at the English club.

Chelsea transfer news: Alvaro Morata ‘contacts’ Real Madrid but receives bad news

CHELSEA striker Alvaro Morata is attempting to engineer a return to Real Madrid, it has been claimed.

Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid for an initial £58m fee last summer but struggled to adapt to the demands of English football.

He has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge and reports in Spain suggest he could head back to the Bernabeu.

According to Don Balon, who are renowned for their outlandish transfer rumours, Morata contacted Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to discuss a switch.

It is claimed the 25-year-old wanted to discover whether Perez would re-sign him in the wake of Zinedine Zidane’s resignation as head coach.

But he reportedly received bad news.

Don Balon say Perez reminded Morata that Karim Benzema is still on the club’s books.

And he reportedly has no plans to sign a new striker until Zidane’s replacement is secured.

Morata sparked speculation over his future last week when he was spotted in Turin.

Rumours of a move to Juventus swirled but he was only in the Italian city to attend a birthday party.

Morata spent two seasons on loan at Juventus from Real Madrid between 2014 and 2016.

The Spaniard’s pal Marco Cicchetto has claimed that Morata is up for a return to the Serie A champions.

He told Ilbianconero: “He would be ready to take a pay cut to return to his former club, Juventus, absolutely.

“The quality of life here with family, friends and so on is very good here.

“There is no comparison of that with London, he would return to Turin very willingly.”

Morata came through the ranks at Real Madrid and hit 31 goals in 95 appearances for the club either side of his Juventus loan.

He scored 15 goals in 48 appearances for Chelsea last term but found the back of the net just three times in all competitions after Boxing Day.

Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain has been linked as a replacement for Morata.
