Julian could help fill that void, while they have also been linked with an £86m move for Philippe Coutinho.
Blues are also weighing up a move for Gueye despite Senegal international only joining them in the summer from Everton. A move for Gueye is unlikely given PSG’s unwillingness to sell.
Blues have also been linked with a new left-back as Frank seeks to plug the gaps in his young squad.
Chelsea had looked certain to finish in the top four once again, but a run of four league defeats in five matches. Investment in winter though should ensure they put themselves in the best possible position to qualify for the UCL.
