Great news! Tuchel confirms two forgotten Chelsea players to get some chance next season

According to The Guardian reports, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tiemoue Bakayoko will get a chance to impress Thomas Tuchel in the pre-season.

Thomas Tuchel would like to assess his options in midfield after Billy Gilmour has expressed his desire to spend the next season out on loan.

Norwich appear to be the likeliest destination for the youngster due to Tuchel’s good relationship with Daniel Farke who managed Borussia Dortmund’s second team at the time when Tuchel was in charge of the main side.

Gilmour’s departure would mean that Chelsea would only be able to count on three central midfielders – Jorginho, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic – so the Blues would need to fill the vacancy.

Before hitting the transfer market, though, Tuchel wants to give a chance to Loftus-Cheek and Bakayoko who spent the last season on loan at Fulham and Napoli, respectively.

The Chelsea academy graduate’s career has gone downhill since the terrible Achilles injury two years ago, while Bakayoko has failed to impress at the club since his arrival in 2017 – so this chance might well be their last at Stamford Bridge.
