“He allows Enzo Fernandez to play higher up the pitch”: Ex-Chelsea star is excited about possible £80 million signing!

Tony Cascarino is excited by the prospect of his former club Chelsea signing Brighton’s Moises Caicedo this summer.

The club had a £60million opening offer knocked back in the January window for the 21-year-old with Albion owner Tony Bloom not wanting to sell – but we are keen to keep adding to the side this summer

He has also featured on the wishlists of Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool, but Mauricio Pochettino has reported asked for the signing of Caicedo as a N’Golo Kante replacement,

The club are expected to step up their interest in the coming days after a number of players left Stamford Bridge, and Cascarino hopes to see the midfielder in west London.

Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “I think it’s a necessity.

“He allows Enzo Fernandez to play higher up the pitch.

“I think he will be one of the best signings of the summer if they can get that one over the line.”
