“He can break into the first team” – Reece James names next player ready for top level

One of Chelsea’s many breakout youth players this season was Reece James, who took the step up we all expected he’d be able to and slotted into the first team like a seasoned pro.

He’s already naming the next player he thinks can make a similar transition.

In quotes picked up by the Metro, James said that Tino Anjorin, who made his first team debut in the Everton win just before this coronavirus break, will be the next star to step off the academy pitches at Cobham.

“Be on the look out for Tino Anjorin,’ the right back hinted.

“He’s debuted already but he’s one who can break into the first team,” he went on.

We’ve all seen the impact Tino has had as a goalscoring midfielder in the youth teams. If he can keep doing that, maybe on loan this season, he will be joining Reece sooner rather than later.
