‘He got more time on that area and we got frustrated’ — Patrick Vieira hails Chelsea player masterclass over Palace
Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the FA Cup Semi final as the Blues are through to the final. Goals from Loftus cheek and Mason Mount seals the victory for the Blues.
Following the match Palace boss Patrick Vieira has hyped praise on Chelsea man Jorginho for how he makes life difficult for them in the midfield.
Vieira said, as quoted by Palace’s official website: “In the first-half we were brilliant, but we couldn’t score that goal,”
“The way they moved the ball in the second half, we ran quite a lot and we got frustrated.
“We started not putting so much pressure on the ball, and Jorginho got more time and it was really difficult for us because then he can make better decisions.
“This is a team that has won the Champions League, the FA Cup – they are on a different level to us. But I’m proud of the way we approached the game and the way we made it difficult for them.
“We have to build on those kinds of performances.”
