Former Chelsea defender Paul Parker has encouraged Chelsea to hire former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino managed 293 games for Tottenham between July 2014 and November 2019. Despite failing to win a trophy throughout his time in north London, the Argentine won 160 games and led the club to their first Champions League final
Recently-axed Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann, former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique and Napoli favourite Luciano Spalletti are all said to have joined Pochettino on Boehly’s shortlist – while it has been revealed that Frank Lampard is now back as care-taker manager until a new boss is appointed.
Lampard suffered a defeat in his first game back in charge of the club away to Wolves and now prepares his players to face Real Madrid in the Champions League quarter-finals.
A number of managers have been linked with the vacant position at Stamford Bridge including Mauricio Pochettino, and Former Chelsea star Parker believes Pochettino is the ‘perfect’ manager for the Blues to appoint – Parker told SpilXperten: “I think that Chelsea should do everything in their power to get Pochettino.
“He is the perfect manager for them. People were criticising him after he left PSG, which is miserable. That club is outrageous and if you’re not winning the Champions League you’re going to be sacked.
