‘He may join Chelsea don’t be surprised’ – Pundit claims £200,000-a-week star could really join Chelsea

According to Sky Sports pundit Clinton Morrison has said that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will join Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

The former Crystal Palace forward has said on Sky Sports News (2pm, May 20, 2023) that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will join his former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea.

According to The Independent, former Tottenham head coach Pochettino has agreed to become the new manager of Chelsea.

One of the many players linked with Chelsea is Kane.

The Independent have reported that Pochettino has discussed with his Chelsea bosses the prospect of signing the £200,000-a-week (The Sun) England international striker.

Morrison said: “He will want a centre-forward. And don’t be surprised if he goes and gets the man at Tottenham. I will put it out there now. Don’t be surprised if Harry Kane goes to Chelsea.”

Big signing for Chelsea… if it happens

In our view, if Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane joined Chelsea in the summer transfer window, then it would make the Blues so much better in attack.

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, and we have no doubt that the 29-year-old will be stunning for Chelsea.

The striker flourished under Pochettino at Tottenham.

Even when Tottenham have really struggled this season, Kane has scored 28 goals and given three assists in 37 Premier League matches.

It is hard to see Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang stay at Chelsea beyond the end of the season, and although Romelu Lukaku is expected to return from his loan spell at Inter Milan, Kane would be a huge upgrade.

There are two major factors, though, that could potentially prevent a deal from happening.

Chelsea and Tottenham are big London rivals, and Kane could be hesitant to cross that divide.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy himself may not be too keen on selling his most prized asset to Chelsea.

And even if he does, then he is going to ask for a lot of money, probably more than £100 million.
