He Will join Chelsea- $92.70m could become the Blues first Summer signing

Miralem Pjanic will join Chelsea in a £70million ($92.70m) deal this summer.

That’s according to ex-Juventus director Luciano Moggi, who told Il Bianconero the Bosnian will be linking up with new boss Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues are planning to go head-to-head with Barcelona in the race for Juventus playmaker Pjanic, reports the Daily Mail.

Maurizio Sarri has been lined up to replace Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge, and it’s thought that the former Napoli boss is keen to bring Pjanic with him from Serie A.

The Blues could offer the Bosnian a significant increase on his current salary, with Juventus open to negotiations as they look to raise funds to sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Chelsea have also emerged as the bookies’ favourites to sign Miralem Pjanic from Juventus this summer.

A BetStars spokesperson said: “Chelsea look to be in the running to sign Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic after Juve’s ex-CEO Luciano Moggi sent a tweet including the hashtags #Pjanic and #Chelsea.

“As a result, we have the Blues as the clear market favourites to land the highly rated playmaker at odds of 2/1.

“Should Juventus be willing to listen to offers for Pjanic, it is likely Chelsea would face competition in their bid to sign the 28-year-old, and we have Barcelona next up in the market at 11/2.

“Having failed in their bid to sign Antoine Griezmann, the Catalan club will have a hefty transfer kitty to spend this summer, and could identify the Bosnian as a replacement for the out-going Andres Iniesta.

“A host of Premier League clubs are ranked as outsiders in the Pjanic transfer saga.

“Manchester United are priced at 7/1, whilst Liverpool and Arsenal can be found at 8/1 and 12/1 respectively to complete a deal for the midfielder.”
