Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic has hailed Lampard for helping him to settle in at Stamford Bridge following his big-money switch from Dortmund and admits that playing for the West London club is ‘amazing’
The USA international forward has joined Chelsea in a £58m deal during the January transfer window before spending the second half of the 2018-19 season at Dortmund in the German top-tier.
Pulisic finally rumoured up with his new club in pre-season and he has featured prominently under Frank Lampard thus far, playing in all five of the Blues competitive games.
Although Pulisic is yet to get off the mark for the Blues he has insisted that he is happy at Chelsea and Frank Lampard has been the main reason.
Speaking to reporters, Pulisic said: ‘It’s amazing. I mean, it’s everything I hoped it would be and more. It’s incredible. It worked out really well, for sure.
‘Frank’s a great guy and he’s helped me so much and he understands where I’m coming from. He’s done a really good job and helped me, teaching us, especially a lot of the younger guys on the team.’
Pulisic’s best form for the West London club came during their penalty shoot-out loss to the Merseyside Reds in the Super Cup final when he supplied an exceptional assist to Giroud.
Although Pulisic is yet to reach his fine form in the English top-tier, Lampard clearly trusts him as he has started three games for the Blues from possible four.
In part due to the Blues transfer ban, Lampard has entrusted a number of West London club young players including Andreas Christensen, Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount this campaign.
