“He’s here to win trophies” “He’s not leaving”– 23-year-old Chelsea star’s agent rubbishes player’s exit

With recent rumours claiming Enzo Fernandez is already thinking about leaving Chelsea, his entourage decided it’s time to shut down those stories.

Outlet AS today features an interview with Uriel Perez, the midfielder’s agent, who made it clear that the player sees his future at Stamford Bridge.

According to the representative, Fernandez’s ideas are well aligned with Chelsea’s board, whose plans are focused on the club’s future.

“The player has no intention of leaving. The directors were very clear with this project. It’s a plan that was going to be difficult at the beginning because new and young players were going to arrive, but when the team put the pieces together, Chelsea was going to move forward.”

The agent also denied all rumours saying there are talks with other clubs.

“Enzo Fernandez’s wish is to be in the team and to succeed. We didn’t meet with any club or try to talk to any club. We know what the player’s wish is. Obviously he would like the club to be in another position, but that will be achieved with hard work.

It’s now been over a year since Fernandez arrived at Chelsea, as the Blues signed from Benfica in January 2023 in a €121m deal.

The midfielder moved to London as a World Cup winner and continues to be an important piece for Mauricio Pochettino’s side, with 28 appearances made this season already.

The complicated situation at Chelsea may be a reasonable motive for players to consider leaving the club soon, and his entourage makes a strong move by making it public that he’s fully committed to the Stamford Bridge side, especially in a time when rumours of summer moves are about to show up.
