‘He’s obviously a threat, I have to keep an eye on him’ – Brendan Rodgers says of former Chelsea player sold by Tuchel

Is Tuchel regretting selling some Chelsea players?

However, as we all know, Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was deemed surplus to requirement by Thomas Tuchel, and the Blues academy product was sold to Roma for £36m.

In just his first year in Rome, Abraham has impressed massively.

The England International has scored 24 goals and made 5 assists for Roma across all competitions. He’s now being linked with a return to London, but it’s the north of London, as Chelsea rivals, Arsenal are targeting the former Blue.

Abraham would return to England for the first time since his departure from Chelsea, as Leicester City host Roma in the semi-final of the Europa Conference League.

Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted Abraham will be a big threat in this game, admitting that the former Chelsea striker has done well in Italy.

“Just looking at some of the games and looking at his numbers in terms of goals and assists over the course of this season he’s done very, very well,” the Leicester boss said.

“He’s obviously a threat, he knows the British game as well and we’ll have to keep an eye on him.”
