‘He’s ready to stay and fight for his shirt’: Journalist confirms player is ready to play for Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel converted Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi into a wingback in the first few games of his Chelsea career.
However, he settled for Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta in the wingback role, while Hudson-Odoi struggled for game time.
Hudson-Odoi’s future at the club has been in doubt due to his limited playing time last season, and there were talks of a likely loan exit.
Transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has now revealed that Tuchel wants the 20-year-old winger to stay at the club and fight for his shirt, and Hudson-Odoi is also willing to fight for his shirt.
Dortmund are “ fighting “ and also “ hoping “ to keep Erling Haaland, Chelsea have a strong interest but nothing new yet.
Tuchel wants Callum Hudson Odoi to stay and he will, he’s going to fight for his place in the team next season.

Hudson-Odoi is yet to reach the heights we know he can since suffering a long-term injury back in 2019. Hopefully, we see the best of Hudson-Odoi next season.
