Higuain ready to reunite with Sarri & Ronaldo at Juventus

Gonzalo Higuain reportedly ‘dreams of joining’ Cristiano Ronaldo and Maurizio Sarri at Juventus next season, Italian outlet Tuttosport claims.

As it was previously reported, Chelsea have made a decision not to extend Higuain’s loan at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have an option to extend the 31-year-old’s stay in West London for one more year, however, the club’s board decided against the extension due to the striker’s poor form since arriving in January on a six-month deal.

In these circumstances, he would ideally want to return to Juventus and see Maurizio Sarri going the same way.

Ronaldo and Higuain spent four years playing together at Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu between 2009 and 2013.

They very briefly linked up again this season – but Higuain then was shipped out on loan – to Milan and, later, to Chelsea.

Higuain had also worked under current Blues boss Maurizio Sarri during the most successful spell of his career in Napoli, where he scored 91 goals from 146 appearances, including 36 from 35 Serie A matches in his final season.
