History maker! Jorginho makes Premier League history after scoring against Newcastle, becomes first player to achieve it
Following Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Newcastle, Chelsea midfielder Jorginho scored the third goal for Chelsea as the Blues top the Premier League table once again.
However, Jorginho who scored from the penalty spot after Kai Havertz was fouled in the box, as set a Premier League record in the process.
According to Opta, Jorginho is the first player in Premier League history to have 10 consecutive goals in the competition come from the penalty spot.
Meanwhile, Chelsea’s 3-0 victory over Newcastle United means the Blues have won 10 of our 14 Premier League away games under Thomas Tuchel (D3 L1).
Only Guus Hiddink and José Mourinho (13) have reached 10 away victories in fewer games in the competition than the German.
