How Billy Gilmour sends Fabinho back to Brazil in style

Chelsea prolonged their journey in this season’s FA Cup with a 2-0 win against Liverpool in the 5th Round at Stamford Bridge and Billy Gilmour’s sensational display embodied the sense of authority with which the Blues prevailed over the reigning European champions.

Drafted into the starting eleven as the deepest-lying midfielder in the midfield trio in place of Jorginho, the 18-year-old excelled with his work-rate, energy, calmness and composure in possession and ability to move the ball quickly, whilst also showing off his silky skills on the ball.

And his nutmeg on Fabinho was arguably the highlight of his stellar performance on the night.

The nutmeg is one thing, but the vision and the presence of mind that he illustrates to pick out the run of Giroud truly defy his tender years.

No wonder, he was named as the man-of-the-match and hats off to Lampard for handing him the opportunity to shine!
