CHELSEA ARE BACK!
Maurizio Sarri’s men visit Huddersfield on Saturday afternoon in the curtain raiser of our Premier League season. We can’t wait for this one.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to start in goal, while Willian could be fit enough to start in attack.
We’ll have to wait and see, but we don’t expect Sarri’s starting eleven to be drastically different to the one we saw against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Sarri still has injury and fitness issues to contend with ahead of the game. Here’s everything you need to know.
INJURIES
Marco Van Ginkel and Izzy Brown are currently the only two Chelsea players out injured. They’re both recovering from long-term knee injuries.
It’s unlikely either would have been involved in the game even if fit to feature.
FITNESS
Five Chelsea players are unlikely to feature as they are yet to reach full match-fitness. Their involvement in the World Cup and late arrival at Cobham is the reason for this.
They are; Eden Hazard, N’Golo Kante, Gary Cahill, Olivier Giroud, Michy Batshuayi and Mateo Kovacic. It may be a couple of weeks before they’re fit to start.
